Healthy Green Smoothie Bowl (Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Sugar-Free)

What can I say, we need to eat more greens. And whole foods. Fresh food matters, so I'm trying to find ways to make it fancier for me and my family. Smoothie bowls are becoming my favourite breakfast. The girl who used to eat a cheese pie first thing in the morning, is doing kale now. 

I've been drinking smoothies for more than 2 years now. It wasn't an easy transition, I learned to love it. Now I even crave it.

I'll write a post soon about how to crave healthy smoothies. The one you see here is a green smoothie with kale and spinach. It is a powerful antioxidant drink packed with Vitamin C, Vitamin K, plant-based calcium, fiber, and many more nutrients.  

Antioxidant smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • a handful of kale
  • a handful of spinach
  • a glass of unsweetened almond milk (or coconut water)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Blend kale, spinach, and almond milk in a blender until smooth.
  2. Add toppings: cocoa nibs, banana, berries, and pumpkin seeds.

Toppings can turn your smoothie into a fun full meal so don't hold yourself, use your imagination! 

It's addictive. I can't believe I'm writing this, but it is addictive.
